I have purchased this as a gift for my granddaughter - before I had used an identical one that I recently purchased. She has not yet received this - since I'm out of the country - using mine. Not so crazy about it. Think I might have done better to get one with a folding handle. Infact, I have an old combination Eagle Creek backpack/suitcase that I prefer, and have used for years, putting it on a hand carrier that I would bring along. Next trip I'm on I'm going back to that method. Feb 10 when my granddaughter gets the gift, I'm going to tell her she can return it for something else if she prefers.
Bag arrived on time. Appears to be good quality. Will know more after 1st trip with it and the airlines. This bag is to replace a suitcase with the same linear inches but it doesn't look as if it will hold the same amount. Will find out as soon as I pack.
It seems very sturdy. I've been pre-packing it to see what it will hold. It's quite large and seems like it will fit a ton of items. I will only pack it partially, as it's for a safari and larger then the required size but it can be packed down on all sides. My friends have used this exact bag for many safaris and said they haven't had a problem with it. It's the only one like this that has wheels so we ordered it. Since it's so voluminous I'm using 2 large packing cubes and then a bag with toiletries, and loose coats, etc--but just to give an idea of size--the bag will hold at least 5 of the large packing cubes and some loose items.
